Economic Forecast Breakfast in 2018

It’s time for the KC Chamber’s annual Economic Forecast, and current events unfolding now will certainly be part of the discussion. Will trade policy take away progress made by fiscal policy? You’ll find out on October 19. Kansas and Missouri businesses are getting caught up in tariffs on their imports and exports, and looking for ways to transform their global supply chain to manufacture less in China. Forecast speaker Evan Chuck of Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner LLP is the firm’s Shanghai Office Liaison and served as managing partner of the Shanghai office for seven years. Evan has represented clients with supply chains involving China for more than 25 years and will address local impact of the U.S.-China trade dispute. Our keynote presentation will also include Michael Gregory, Deputy Chief Economist and Head of U.S. Economics for BMO Capital Markets Corp., who manages the team responsible for forecasting and analyzing the North American economy and financial markets. In addition, Frank Lenk of Mid-America Regional Council will share his regional economic analysis that businesses find so helpful in their strategic planning.
