Event Description:
Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACES) affect us all. Join us on October 10 for a community dinner as the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and Trauma Matters KC share key findings from the Kansas City ACEs report, celebrate the success of Resilient KC, and share some exciting announcements in partnership with Sesame Street in Communities.
Learn how ACEs are being addressed now and as we look to the future.
Families are welcomed and encouraged to bring their children! Childcare and dinner will be available for children aged 2-5 with a special appearance from the Zoe muppet walk-around character.
Medical students, pre-medical students, and education students are welcomed and encouraged to attend.
3:30 p.m. -5:00 p.m. — Free Sesame Street Session for providers and educators focusing on social emotional early learning led by the Sesame Street in Communities team. Learn about Sesame Street in Communities, how to utilize their resources, and how to host parent workshops.
5-6 p.m. — Registration and cocktail hour
6-7:30 p.m. — Dinner and program
