Drag out your favorite ugly sweater, grab a glass of wine and join us for this fun (and informative!) virtual event just for Centurions next week, Thursday, Dec. 3, from 8-9 p.m.
LEARN: Whether you are looking for holiday gift ideas or a great book to inspire your 2021, this is the place to find the perfect recommendation! Rainy Day Books will share its top fiction and nonfiction picks for the season at this live chat. Kids books, too!
SERVE: Donations collected from this event will be used to purchase books for local organizations supporting young readers. Be on the lookout for information about a related alumni volunteer opportunity this spring.
LEAD: Vivien Jennings, founder and president of Rainy Day Books, will discuss pivoting in a pandemic and her journey with the oldest independent bookstore in the area. Looking for a super-specific book recommendation? Submit a question in the registration comments and Vivien will find the right gift for you!
At registration, you will be given donation options ($15, $10, or no donation at this time). 100% of those funds will go to Rainy Day Books to purchase books for local organizations supporting young readers.
