Kansas City is known as the “City of Fountains” for a reason. Along with the almost 50 fountains throughout the City, the KC area plays host to more than 200 parks, 10,000 acres of parkland, 100 miles of trails, 30 lakes, and hundreds of athletic fields. This task force will take a glimpse at some of the most influential people, places and landscapes in Kansas City and go behind the scenes of what makes Parks, Recreation, and Sports so impactful to Kansas Citians. Centurions will walk away from this day with an appreciation for what our wonderful city has to offer in this space.
