Event Description:
The COVID-19 pandemic has fundamentally changed the nature of work around the world and left employees, employers, and policy makers with significant unanswered questions about what a new normal will be, or when it will arrive. But, in many ways, 2020's impacts on workforce, production, and economies represent an acceleration of technology trends that were already in place. The International Relations Council and Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce are proud to host a conversation on this topic that considers emerging big-picture realities at home and abroad as well as specific ongoing trends and impacts seen in the Kansas City metro area. Join Jeffrey Brown, head of technology policy for the Bertelsmann Foundation, and a panel of local experts for insights and forecasts on this evolving ecosystem.
