Diversity & Inclusion Workshop: The Underground Railroad: Learning From Our History
Winston Churchill once said that those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
The Underground Railroad and the slavery abolition movement is an inspiring example from American History where White and Black people worked together for freedom and equality for all.
For over a decade, Störling Dance Theatre has told the powerful story of the Underground Railroad at the Kauffman Center, inspiring audiences to work together towards racial reconciliation in our city today. Join Jeremiah Enna, Executive Director of Underground and The Culture House and Ray Jarrett, Executive Director of UniteKC, for a discussion about the history of the Underground Railroad and how this creative work can inspire us in the work of racial reconciliation today.
