ABOUT OUR PRESENTERS:
Laura Dalby manages the Investment and Innovation team at the Consulate General of Canada in Chicago. She supports Canadian starts-up and cross-border investors from Illinois, Missouri, and Wisconsin. She also assists foreign companies planning to invest in Canada and current investors realize the full advantages available through their existing Canadian operations. Laura has worked for the government of Canada for 15 years, with previous postings in Guatemala and Cuba. Laura hails from Vancouver and is passionate about the outdoors.
Tina Kotrych has worked on Foreign Direct Investment at the Consulate General of Canada in Chicago since 2010. Here, she creatively leverages broad networks on both sides of the border to help Midwest-based start-ups, SMEs, and multinationals representing a wide array of industries navigate all aspects of setting up operations in Canada with an emphasis on Fintech. In her spare time, Tina empowers and connects people through the practice of visual arts as a board member of ArtReach Chicago.
