Event Description:
Project Equality and the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce present the 2019 Diversity and Inclusion Summit - Learning from a painful past. Healing in the present. Working toward a better future.

We're asking you to attend Dr. Joy DeGruy's keynote presentation at 9:00 a.m., but you are encouraged to come early to network and/or stay through the entire programming of the day.

Dr. DeGruy's research focuses on the intersection of racism, trauma, violence, and American chattell slavery. She has over thirty years of pactical experience as a professional in the field of social work. She conducts workshops and training in the areas of intergenerational/historical trauma, mental health, social justice, improvement strategies, and evidence-based model development.
