As President of Parris Communications, Laurie Roberts leads Parris' crisis practice group. She develops and implements strategic communication plans for Parris' clients, including Polsinelli, Shawnee Mission Health, The Stowers Institute for Medical Research, Hallmark, Sprint, and many others.

A three-time EMMY-award winner from the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Laurie was also honored by the Alliance for Women in Media with the nationally-acclaimed Gracie Allen Award in recognition of her co-development of a local television series, “Smart Women.”
Her second career in public relations has also garnered a significant number of awards and honors. Laurie was honored in 2017 as Kansas City’s “PR Pro of the Year” by the Kansas City chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. She was heralded by the Kansas City Business Journal in its “Women Who Mean Business” recognition of the top businesswomen in Kansas City. Kansas City Business magazine recognized Laurie as one of Kansas City’s “Most Influential Women.”
