Nicole Jacobs-Silvey is the founder and President of Connection Coach KC, where she works with clients across sectors on networking and relationship building. This includes assistance with increasing diversity through recruitment and retention initiatives. Prior to Connection Coach KC, Nicole spent time at UMKC and Kauffman Scholars. She has been named one of the 50 Most Influential Women in KC and a Woman to Watch by Central Exchange.
 
At this lunch and learn, Nicole will present challenges with recruitment and retention, such as affinity bias, and strategies to combat those challenges. She’ll also discuss why diversity matters at both the personal and business levels. This event will include a discussion, exercises and a presentation. Lunch will be provided. The event will be held at Stinson Leonard Street, 1201 Walnut, Ste. 2900. Parking is available in the Town Pavilion garage (bring your ticket with you for validation), or take the streetcar.
