Hiring and Supporting Immigrants in the Workplace Webinar

The workforce shortage has crippled thousands of businesses across the country. Immigrants and refugees are an untapped population that can help fill jobs in our community. One of the goals in Welcoming KC’s Strategic Plan is to ensure “Greater Kansas City creates a welcoming and inclusive workplace environment." We recognize the strengths of refugees and immigrants in our community and our city’s workforce.

Welcoming KC is hosting a webinar for businesses to learn how to best support refugees and immigrants in their workplace. This virtual panel discussion will have representatives from local resettlement agencies on both side of the state line, as well as businesses that will offer resources, best practices, and cultural considerations that should be made when employing refugees and immigrants.

Businesses that attend this event are encouraged to participate in a Refugee & Immigrant Job Fair in April 2022.
