You are invited to join the KC Chamber and leaders from KCMO and the UG of Wyandotte County August 13 to learn about a unique opportunity to receive tax breaks for investment in strategic development opportunities in under-resourced communities. This program, called Opportunity Zones (OZ’s), is a new community development package established in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 to encourage long-term, high-impact investment projects in distressed communities (tax incentives also available for investment in startups within OZ’s). Come for a dynamic dialogue with law, tax and development experts about this important opportunity to not only invest in new, untapped markets, but also to invest in the future, long-term economic vibrancy of our cities and the neighborhoods where we work and live.
