DO YOU KNOW THAT…

Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Region VII is headquartered in Kansas City.

When an emergency exceeds the resources of a city, state, or region, military assets may be activated or requested to support in the response.

Defense Support to Civilian Authorities (DSCA) is a regular activity in natural disaster emergencies like flooding, hurricanes, or tornadoes.

Meet Your Army is an informational program and networking event that introduces you to various units that reside or operate in the KC Metro, conducting missions and activities that support national and regional objectives for our Army.

This month’s program is the second in the Meet Your Army program series and will focus on DSCA / FEMA response to this season’s hurricanes.
