Presenters: Allied Inclusion Works & Disability Inclusion of Greater Kansas City

Many organizations have Diversity and Inclusion strategies and yet disability inclusion can be minimal or still needing to be included. This session is to help companies recognize the need for Disability Inclusion and is designed to provide you true action steps to include in your overall D&I strategy. You will learn how to create concrete disability inclusion strategies that enhance your plans and connect you with the proper resources to facilitate success in outreach, recruitment, hiring and retention of those with disabilities. Real life scenarios will be provided to give you a framework on how to interview those with a variety of disabilities, how and when to provide accommodations, and how to deliver performance management. If you are ready to take the next step, this is the session for you to attend!

  • Learn about effective strategies and resources to support your outreach and recruitment efforts
  • Review best practices in interviewing individuals with various disabilities
  • Learn about strategies for on-boarding that facilitates inclusion for all
