Event Description:
With COVID-19 altering almost every aspect of our daily lives, it now has the potential to completely change how we vote. The pandemic has brought to light numerous concerns, such as “Is it safe to vote in person?” to “How do I vote by mail?” Because of these questions and concerns you might have, on October 1,  from 11 am to 12 pm, the KC Chamber is hosting a voting and election education session. Joining us will be some of the region’s top election officials, including Kansas Secretary of State Scott Schwab, Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft, and Kansas City Election Board Director Lauri Ealom. These election officials will be providing up-to-date information and resources on how voting in November will work, from health provisions that are being put into place, to deadlines that need to be met to ensure mail-in votes are counted. You won’t want to miss this timely and important event to learn how to ensure your vote is safely cast and counted.
