Ribbon Cutting - The Ambassador Hotel
Indulge in timeless elegance from the moment you arrive at Ambassador Hotel Kansas City, Autograph Collection. Built in 1920, their neoclassical architectural building housed Gate City National Bank, which brought life to downtown Kansas City with seven floors and lobby walls sheathed in marble. In 1930, the bank merged with what would be renamed as Traders National Bank in 1949.
The bank retained its traditional charm through a remodel in 1954. The property then served as an office building and nightclub before sitting vacant for eight years. Coury Hospitality purchased the building and gave it a $7.5 million renovation that now restores it to its historic charm.
