Event Description:
This event is open to Spring Start Centurions only.

During the Spring Cohort’s Benchmarking Trip to Portland, Oregon, Centurions were exposed to Portland’s rich maker and entrepreneurial culture. Back here at home, Centurions can experience how local makers, artisans, and entrepreneurs are remaking our city’s economy. Made in KC has been at the epicenter of KC’s maker explosion, not to mention they have their own local entrepreneurial success story to share. Centurions will have the opportunity to discuss what KC consumers are buying, how makers scale their small batch wares and bring them to market, and why it’s important to shop local. After the discussion, Centurions are encouraged to beat the Black Friday crowds and get a head start on their holiday shopping by supporting our local entrepreneurs and makers!
