Troy Schulte, who has been with the City since 1998 and was named budget officer in 2003, was appointed acting city manager by the mayor and City Council Nov. 19, 2009. Schulte was appointed city manager May 31, 2011.
Schulte’s background also includes serving three years as City Administrator for the City of Marengo, Iowa; and two years as assistant director of the Benton Development Group in Vinton, Iowa. Schulte has bachelor’s degrees in economics and history from Iowa State University, a master’s degree in economics from Iowa State University, and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
