Craig Morris, Managing Attorney from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), travels around the country to educate Americans on trademark. He will share the fundamentals of what you need to know, including:

What a trademark is; How it differs from a domain name or a business name registration; Cease-and-desist letters; Common law rights; How to seek federal registration; What happens after registration; Non-USPTO solicitations; and Avoiding the likelihood of confusion.

This presentation is perfect for students, entrepreneurs, advertisers, business owners and those in the legal field.

The presentation will take place in Craig Auditorium (GEB 233) at Johnson County Community College.
