The KC Chamber through the Workforce Development Initiative and Military & Veterans Affairs Committee seeks to help build an understanding of talent resources in the area. One of the most consistent workforce pools in the Kansas City region is our tremendous men and women serving in the Armed Forces. As our service members transition to civilian life\, they carry over years of exemplary training\, work ethic\, and skills that translate effectively to the private and public sector. In our first Tapping Today's Talent workshop\, we aim to take a deeper dive into how industry can access Veteran talent\, recognizing business best practices to hiring Veterans\, and resources that are available. Throughout the program we will hear from businesses already implementing Veteran hiring practices as well as from Veterans in the workforce.
