The Builders' Association

The Builders’ Association (www.buildersassociation.com) is a nonprofit trade association with a mission of advancing construction and our communities by delivering training, construction plans, technology tools, business development and advocacy. We are committed to improving lives through construction.

Training/service centers operate in Kansas City, Jefferson City and Springfield. Founded in 1887, the hundreds of union companies and non-union member companies employ over 25,000 people. Other key indicators include: 3,000+ safety trainees annually, community outreach, 1,500+ apprentices in co-sponsored programs, business education, negotiation of 27 collective bargaining agreements, co-administrator and trustee-appointment authority for 28 fringe funds with over $3 billion in assets and government relations services locally, for Missouri and Kansas, as well as federally through our affiliate organization, the AGC-KC, a chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America.
