Robert S. Baran has been named Senior Counsel for Mann Conroy, LLC

Robert S. Baran has been named Senior Counsel for Mann Conroy, LLC, to head up the firm’s commercial bankruptcy and secured transactions practice and to deepen the firm’s general corporate practice. He joined the firm in October 2016, and was promoted January 2018. He has over 17 years of experience in contracts, business law, real estate, secured transactions, debtor-creditor law and bankruptcy. He has worked with clients in a host of settings and jurisdictions, helping them resolve and litigate business disputes, sell and acquire assets, and navigate all chapters of the Bankruptcy Code. This expertise has given him the insight and ability to draft contracts and structure transactions that are effective, transparent, and free from ambiguity. Before joining the firm, Robert served as the long-term clerk to the Hon. Jerry W. Venters, Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Missouri. He received his J.D. and M.A. from Washington University in St. Louis, and his undergraduate degree from Pomona College. He is a member of the Missouri, Kansas, and Arizona Bars and is a FINRA Certified Arbitrator.  He was a Helzberg Leadership Fellow in 2010.
