5K Walk with KC Mothers in Charge

The 5th Annual Pee Wee's 5K Walk is taking place on Saturday, April 29, 2023. We walk to commemorate the lives of those lost to homicide, and to continue the fight to end violence. This family-friendly walk travels along the Brush Creek Trail, starting at the Spirit of Freedom Fountain at the corner of Emanuel Clever II Boulevard and Cleveland Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri. The course passes the location of Pee Wee's homicide, whose death prompted the forming of KC Mothers in Charge. This year the walk takes place during the National Crime Victims Rights Week and will provide additional ways for participants to TAKE ACTION against violence.
