The way our city looks - where and how people live, which areas are growing and which are dying, how people get around - none of it is by accident. While some urban neighborhoods are seeing surges of new life and investment, others still suffer from the crippling depopulation that hollowed out large parts of the city over decades.
This Task Force will explore how we got here and where we might be going by investigating neighborhoods that teeter on the edge of renewal or decline and the consequences that come with each direction. We will ask: What were the decisions and structures that created the city we see today? How are neighborhood leaders and organizations working to create new realities for the future?
