Healthy KC 8th Annual Breakfast & Vendor Expo

Since the inception of the Workplace Wellness Certification in 2015, the Healthy KC community has gathered to recognize and celebrate the Kansas City companies and organizations committed to and excelling in improving wellness in our community. Over time, this event shifted to be not just a recognition breakfast, but a place for leaders in the wellness community to meet, network, and learn about emerging trends and important topics in the industry.  

In 2022, we hosted our first in-person Annual Event since the pandemic began, and focused on reflection, resiliency, and recovery. Our fantastic panel of leaders across different sectors spoke to the pandemic’s effect on the community, and what changes are here to stay. They fielded questions on important topics, such as mental health, employee expectations and navigating a hybrid work environment. 

This year, we will be recognizing all our 2022 Healthy KC Workplace Wellness Certified Companies. This certification cycle, we launched an updated certification that was redesigned to align with the World Health Organization’s Healthy Workplaces Framework and put Kansas City at a global level. The business community has exceeded all expectations in adapting to this new certification. However, with the new certification, there is a wealth of ideas, policies and practices waiting to be utilized. Our 2023 Annual Event will focus on Filling the Gap: A Holistic Approach to Retention. Our panelists will be approaching retention through the lens of our certification pillars: Personal Health Resources, Psychosocial Work Environment, Enterprise Community Involvement and Work Environment. Join us to learn more about Kansas City’s new approach to wellness and how to focus on retention in all aspects of your organization.

With the large space available at HyVee Arena, we would like to give health-focused companies the opportunity to purchase a vendor booth at the breakfast.
