The Hike for Reconciliation is an opportunity to gather Kansas Citians of all ages and backgrounds together to walk the trail of history and reconciliation running through the heart of our city. This special event features a 3.1-mile urban hike along the Troost Corridor, Troost Park, and through the east side of this historical racial and economic dividing line in Kansas City. Hikers will have the opportunity to learn about the hard truths of our history and the legacy left by slavery and disinvestment for our neighbors, with learning and reflection stations along the way. We invite you to come hike, to learn, to remember, to reflect, and to reconcile together.
Join us on November 4 at 10:30 AM for the Hike for Reconciliation. This urban hike will begin at Troost Park and end at 31st St. & Troost Ave. It will be followed up with live music, great food, and celebrating what Community can look like!
The Hike for Reconciliation is a donate-what-can event! That means everyone is invited to share what they can. With a suggested donation of $25 or more, you'll get your very own hike t-shirt! Please give generously for the sake of our neighbors in need of social and mental health services here in KC.
