Event Description:
The Institute of Management Accountants Kansas City Chapter is pleased to present as speakers Yvonne Kean, CMA, CPA, of Kean Consulting and retired CFO of Water.org, and Lisa Gioia CPA, a sole practitioner providing accounting and tax consulting services exclusively to not-for-profit organizations.  Business members of the community and financial professionals are often invited to serve as board members for local charities.  Yvonne and Lisa will introduce fundamental accounting practices in the nonprofit sector from the perspective of the the board of directors.  Some subtle differences need to be taken into account related to:
  • Cash Flow
  • Funding
  • Operating Effectiveness
  • Staffing
  • Serving nonprofit management
  • Reporting & dashboards

Entrance of $20 includes Continuing Professional Education certificate of 1.5 credits and breakfast.
