Event Description:
The workforce shortage has crippled thousands of businesses across the country. Immigrants and refugees are an untapped population that can help fill jobs in our community. One of the goals in Welcoming KC’s Strategic Plan is to ensure “Greater Kansas City creates a welcoming and inclusive workplace environment.” We recognize the strengths of refugees and immigrants in our community and our city’s workforce.
Welcoming KC is hosting a traditional job fair- where businesses can connect with job seekers to meet employment needs. In order to meet the needs of our New Neighbors seeking job opportunities, we are partnering with local resettlement agencies to provide support as well as interpreters to help facilitate engagement and establish connections.
