Garver expands Kansas City presence

KANSAS CITY, Missouri – JUNE 26, 2018 – Since opening its first office in the Kansas City area five years ago, Garver has continued to increase its dedication to the market by providing innovative infrastructure solutions. The latest commitment has come in the hiring of several new employees that will serve aviation, construction services, and transportation clients from offices based in Kansas City, Missouri, and Overland Park, Kansas.

Ryan Robinson, project manager; and Collin Petri, project engineer; will each serve on Garver’s Aviation Team. Robinson, with 16 years of experience, and Petri will be integral in Garver’s role in the new terminal project at the Kansas City International Airport. Garver is providing airside civil design services as part of the KCI design team, and work will include design of the terminal apron, airfield lighting systems, aircraft deicing system, airfield draining system, ground support equipment staging areas, aircraft deicing fluid blending and distribution system, and glycol-contaminated runoff storage, and discharge facilities.

James McCollum will serve as construction inspector on Garver’s growing Construction Services Team. James has more than 30 years of construction inspection and materials testing experience with the Missouri Department of Transportation working on all types of highway construction projects, including expansions, overlays, pavement repairs, bridges, interchanges, and traffic control. 

Terry Wilson will serve as bridge inspector on Garver’s Transportation Team. A NBI certified bridge inspector, Wilson has more than 30 years of experience with the Missouri Department of Transportation, and will aid the Garver Bridge Team with offices across the country. 

Brad Street will serve as a construction inspector on Garver’s Construction Services Team. He has more than a decade of experience in the Kansas City-area.  Most recently Brad was a quality control technician with a local general contractor, and he also worked as a construction technician for the Missouri Department of Transportation, fulfilling duties such as inspection and materials testing for the construction of heavy highway related projects.

Garver entered the Kansas City market with one employee in 2013, and has since grown to more than 25 employees in two offices serving the aviation and transportation industry.
