Approximately 5.2 million active and retired federal employees participate in federal medical and dental plans and GEHA is one of the largest providers, covering more than 2 million federal employees, retirees, military retirees and their dependents. The company employs 1,500 people in the Kansas City area and nationwide and is headquartered in Lee's Summit, Mo.
